Biography
Maayad ha anlaw (Good day)!
I am Jun Arthur Acil Binayao, proudly rooted in the lineage of Datu[s] and Bae[s] from the Bukidnon Indigenous Cultural Communities. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in English, and have broadened my perspective through cross-cultural studies in Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention, Indigenous Studies.
I am a leadership changemaker — bridging traditional knowledge and modern pedagogy through research, development, and innovation in Indigenous literature and literacies.
I believe that access and inclusion for Indigenous peoples are foundational to achieving equitable, quality education. Reconnecting with culture is not only transformative, but a path toward healing intergenerational trauma. Being rooted in origin fosters humility, resilience, and a holistic sense of identity.
Empowered communication begins with confidence and character. I champion sustainable development by encouraging individuals to become researchers, developers, and innovators in their own communities. Even the smallest acts of change ripple outward, inspiring others to pay it forward.
Stay curious, creative, and compassionate.
