Biography

YB "The Honourable" Major Dr. Shakhill Muraly, LLB (Hons), MSc (Honoris Causa), PhD (Honoris Causa), is a distinguished academic, businessman, and international advisor whose career spans law, economics, diplomacy, and corporate leadership. Conferred the honorific title “Yang Berhormat” (The Honourable) by the Sultanate of Pahang, and recognized as a Congressman by the President of the Indian National Congress, he has been celebrated both in Malaysia and abroad for his service and scholarship.

Dr. Shakhill graduated with first-class honours in Law from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom and later pursued advanced studies in business, finance, and international relations, culminating in honorary doctorates and master’s degrees recognizing his contributions to knowledge in skeptology and economics. He has also been honoured with the Ashoka Medal by Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, alongside the honorary military title of Major, in recognition of his dedication to nation-building and public service.

Alongside his academic journey, Dr. Shakhill has built a diverse career in both the public and private sectors. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ares Cryptocurrency Trading Limited, overseeing a portfolio valued in the billions, while also holding senior roles in healthcare and education, including as Chief Marketing Officer of Dentcare Global Pvt Ltd and Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Sri Arangaiah Naidu Schools in Chennai, India. His work with the United Nations and international peacekeeping institutions further reflects his commitment to global security, gender equality, and human rights.
